Alessandro Deiola and José Luis Palomino took part in the inauguration of the Cagliari Fan Club in San Gavino Monreale today. The defender and the midfielder, three days before the match against Torino , spent time with the fans and appreciated their closeness on this occasion and on many others. "Playing for Cagliari means representing an entire people," says the Argentine, a rossoblù for about two months . "I recently arrived in Sardinia, but it's something you feel right away: the warmth, the affection of the people always accompanies us, at Unipol Domus and away. It's a pleasure to be here today, to be with the fans, to listen to their stories and to receive their positive energy."

For Deiola, it is an extra joy, since he is originally from San Gavino Monreale: «Today is a special occasion for me» , he adds. «I was born here, here I started playing football, cultivating the dream of becoming a professional footballer and wearing the Cagliari jersey. Deiola and Palomino spent time with the many fans for photo and autograph sessions. In addition to the two footballers, the inauguration was attended by Nicola Riva, son of Gigi, and the Slo of Cagliari Calcio Giorgia Argiolas. The delegation was welcomed by the president of the Cagliari Fan Club, Alessio Cordella, the president of the local Cagliari Fan Club, Roberto Ortu, and the former rossoblù goalkeeper Renato Copparoni, who is part of the Fan Club board and is also from San Gavino. Before the ceremony, a visit to the mural created by local artist Paolo Mazzucco (aka Mamblo) to pay homage to the legend Gigi Riva and the Cagliari of the Scudetto .
