Massimiliano Sanna officially takes office as the new mayor of Oristano .

The Court has in fact concluded the work of verifying the electoral results of the four candidates for the office of mayor and Tania Scanu , president of the Central Electoral office, has proclaimed him first citizen.

In the town hall it was thus possible to carry out the handover with the outgoing mayor Andrea Lutzu , who also passed the tricolor band to his successor.

Sanna, elected in the first round with 54% of the votes , listed the first commitments to which he will be called: the meeting with the general secretary and the municipal leaders to establish administrative priorities, greetings to the other municipal authorities and, honoring tradition, the meeting at the Monastery of Santa Chiara with the Poor Clares, representatives of a religious community intimately linked to the entire city.

"The outgoing mayor Andrea Lutzu has given his willingness to collaborate with the new administration for the good of the city - said Sanna -. He is a resource for the city. We therefore continue a collaboration that can only bear good results for the city".

"If the new Mayor needs help and clarification, especially on health, public works and urban planning, I'll be there for the good of the city ," Lutzu said.

Then on Facebook, Lutzu explained, thanking collaborators and citizens: “ I leave the Municipality with the accounts in order and with an exceptional dowry of things done and to be completed . I go away on tiptoe as I entered. With a very high head and with my conscience in order ".

"I am immediately operational on the many open issues - continued Sanna -. For the new council we are already working with the parties, but in the meantime we continue the administrative activity for the solution of the many problems of the city ".

The new mayor dedicated a particular thought to Torre Grande: "With the start of the summer season, a rich calendar of events has already started to enhance our seaside resort, but this year there may also be some nice surprises".
