Only three Sardinian teams remain in Serie D: this hasn't happened since 2002
Now we hope for Monastir and the repechagesPer restare aggiornato entra nel nostro canale Whatsapp
There are currently only three Sardinian teams with the right to register for the next Serie D championship. They are Olbia, Latte Dolce and Budoni, newly promoted from Eccellenza. Currently, no representative from Central and Southern Sardinia is present in the category. The last time the Sardinians had only three registrations for the Interregional championship was in the 2002/2003 season, with Villacidrese, Calangianus and Atletico Cagliari. The hope is that the Sardinian contingent can expand. In fact, Monastir is expected next Sunday for the last match of the national Serie D playoffs. The team led by Marcello Angheleddu will have to overturn the 2-1 defeat suffered by Vianese in the first leg to achieve historic promotion. In the meantime, Costa Orientale Sarda, through coach Francesco Loi and secretary Franco Palleschi, has announced its intention to apply for repechage. The same hypothesis could also be considered by Ilvamaddalena, relegated to the playouts together with the Ogliastra team.
Benches already defined for Olbia, Latte Dolce and Budoni. The three teams currently confirmed in Serie D have already defined their technical staffs. Olbia, which last June 5th submitted an application for repechage in Serie C, is entrusted to Lucas Gatti. The sporting director Manuel Gonzalez is working on the renewals: Furtado, Anelli, Ragatzu, Arboleda, De Grazia and Costanzo should remain. The striker Marco Caggiu is instead in the sights of Nuorese.
Latte Dolce restarts with Michele Fini, formerly of Cagliari, who took over from Gabriele Setti last March. With him on the bench, the Sassari team collected 12 points in 8 games, achieving direct salvation. Confirmation also at Budoni: Raffaele Cerbone was made official by patron Giovanni Sanna immediately after the promotion. The Biancoceleste club is working on the renewal of Luca Belloni, who is being followed with interest by Olbia.
Other movements: Manca remains at Albalonga, Felleca towards Ancona? Also in D, we should mention the renewal of Luca Manca, a midfielder born in 1999 with experience in Arbus, Arzachena and Tortolì, who will wear the Albalonga jersey again. “The renewal of the heart”, we read in the press release from the Lazio club: “A player who becomes a symbol: we welcome with joy and pride his third season in the blue jersey”. Meanwhile, a Sardinian name could appear on the horizon of a historic club: Roberto Felleca, an entrepreneur from Selargius and former president of Como and Foggia, is concretely evaluating the possibility of acquiring Ancona, a club looking for a relaunch after a complicated season
