“Olio Capitale” closes today in Trieste, the most important fair in the sector which is entirely dedicated to extra virgin olive oil in which Sardinia also took part with a collective of 15 selected companies.

“An event that confirms the high level of quality achieved by Sardinian oils and the importance of a sector that combines the genuineness of the products with the culture of our territories - comments the Regional Councilor for Agriculture, Gabriella Murgia -. The Region aims to enhance the sector with a continuous improvement of the quality standard and expanding the growth prospects, linked not only to production, but also to the training and development of oil tourism , which represents a great opportunity ".

Over 170 exhibitors with international buyers, conferences and moments of sharing, and a busy calendar and tastings. Some oils from Sardinia were combined with the dishes prepared during the show cooking.

The companies selected by the Region are: Cooperativa Agricola Olivicoltori Valle del Cedrino (Orosei), Paolo Demuru (Ilbono), Accademia Olearia (Alghero), Turistica Pelau di Mura Giulia (Cardedu), Eko bio bistem di Corrias Giovanni Matteo (Oristano), Sebastiano Fadda (Oliena), Ezza Nicola Giovanni agricultural company (Usini), Santa Suia agricultural company (Terralba), Sardinia DOP oil consortium (Sassari), Piras Francesco (Alghero), Orrù Antonella Anna Maria (Siamaggiore), New San Pasquale oil mill (Usini ), Franco Ledda Agricultural Company (Oristano), Brozzu Giuseppe Agrobiological Company (Castelsardo), Laura Moretti (Ittiri).
