Olbia prepares for the match against Terracina. Corda out, Zé Maria: «We must reunite the group and the city»

By depriving itself of the collaboration of Ninni Corda, Olbia is giving up the only manager it had in house. Arrived in March as a consultant for Swiss Pro, owner of the Gallura club for a year, the former coach has helped build this year's team.
But even before that, Corda had been decisive in the admission to the Serie D championship after direct relegation, since he involved the lawyer Eduardo Chiacchio in the appeal against the exclusion, without whose intervention, after the mess created during the registration phase by the owners (known as “Operation Nuccilli”), the whites would have had to start again in a lower category.
The fact
Corda will remain tied to Swiss Pro until next March but will no longer have a say in Olbia, as announced yesterday by the club with a press release that does not specify the reasons for the measure, nor who will be the replacement: incidentally, when contacted for clarification, Olbia Calcio did not respond to questions. Strange that the decision to remove Corda came a week after the reopening of the market, which, given the situation, and in the rather concrete hypothesis that Corda will not be replaced by an equivalent figure, will be managed by coach Zé Maria: neither the president Guido Surace, nor his partner, the lawyer Benno Raeber, representatives of Swiss Pro in Olbia, are men of football, and would not know where to start.
The background
It is not surprising, however, that the decision to "cut" Corda came after that of putting aside, so to speak, La Rosa, Anelli and Santi, who among the players were those closest to the manager. Without forgetting the coach of the Under 19 Mario Isoni, fired last week: the former goalkeeper, who led the first team between the dismissal of Marco Amelia and the arrival of Lucas Gatti, had returned to Olbia this year thanks to Corda.
On the field
Meanwhile, today Olbia, as a team, will resume training in view of the direct clash with Terracina, which after the 2-1 inflicted on Cynthialbalonga at home could bring a further step forward in the standings, where the Gallura team, after their third consecutive useful result, are third from bottom with 10 points, 2 points behind the pair formed by Atletico Uri and Terracina and 5 points behind the zone that is worth direct salvation.
On Sunday, in the post-match against Cynthialbalonga, Zé Maria explained: “This is a victory that helps the standings but now we have to think about reuniting the group and the city because it is unthinkable to achieve any objective without a united spirit and the support of the fans”.
A captain
In light of the strong protest from the fans, who on the eve of the Lazio away match expressed their dissent for the unjustified exclusion of captain La Rosa, Zé Maria's first move could be to convince Surace and Raeber to reinstate the player, a symbol of Olbia. Just on Saturday, when asked directly, the former Inter defender had responded that not wanting to focus on La Rosa, Anelli and Santi was not his decision, but that of the ownership.
