Olbia makes Roberto Biancu official: the Sassari midfielder was a free agent

Now it's official: Roberto Biancu is back wearing the Olbia jersey. The club announced it with a note that traces the past in the white jersey of the Sassari midfielder, born in 2000, in Olbia until last June.
The player was a free agent: the last official match played by Biancu dates back to 28 April 2024, wearing the Olbia shirt.
“Olbia Calcio 1905 announces that it has acquired the rights to the sports performances of Roberto Biancu, a midfielder born in 2000,” reads the note this afternoon. “He grew up as a footballer in Cagliari where, after progressing through the youth sector, he also made his debut in the first team. In the 2017/2018 season,” the press release continues, “he arrived in Olbia for the first time, on loan. A loan that was then renewed for another 4 seasons. In the 22/23 season he arrived permanently in Olbia. He made 218 appearances in the white jersey, in which he scored 16 goals and provided 17 assists. Welcome back to Olbia Roberto!”.
