The results of the shutter workshop that took place during the school year with the students of the Nurallao schools are now visible to all.

Three shutters embellished with the faces and words of Grazia Deledda, Antonio Gramsci, and Saint Francis of Assisi.

The art workshop was led by illustrator and artist Giacomo Putzu and funded by the municipal administration, where students from the preschool, primary school, and middle school collaborated to create three works painted on shutters kindly provided by the owners.

All the works address cultural and educational themes. The first is a tribute to the Sardinian writer on the centenary of her awarding of the Nobel Prize in Literature (1926–2026). Next comes Gramsci, with a theme chosen in connection with a day dedicated to education and instruction held with middle school students. Finally, the great saint commemorates the eight hundredth anniversary of his death.

"The project," the administration explains, "represented an important experience of collaboration, creativity, and shared participation among all students of the various school levels, also contributing to the beautification and color of our town."
