Matteo Marcenaro, from the Genoa section, will be in charge of Napoli-Cagliari, the match on Saturday at 6pm valid for the sixteenth day of the championship. The referee born in 1992 has refereed the rossoblù only once, a 0-0 draw on the Hellas Verona pitch dating back to two years ago. The precedents with the Azzurri, however, are more numerous. Last season Marcenaro was the "bete noire" of Spalletti's unbeatable Napoli, who only managed three draws with him against manageable opponents: the 1-1 with Lecce on the fourth matchday and above all the one with Salernitana, with Dia's goal in the final which postponed a ready-made Scudetto celebration. Subsequently, another X with Bologna on the penultimate day, with the title already won. This year, however, under his direction Garcia's Azzurri conquered Frosinone.
