Ultras guerrilla in Naples. A group of Eintracht Frankfurt fans came into contact with the police in the alleys of Piazza del Gesu.

A lot of tear gas was thrown among the people, even a police car was on fire.

It is the beginning of a long day of clashes, culminating in the night with the explosion of paper bombs in front of the hotel where a large group of ultras from Frankfurt was staying. A historic hotel, close to the seafront.

The first spark – the clashes with the police and the car set on fire – struck in the late afternoon and not even the enormous mobilization of the public security forces managed to limit the fury of the German ultras, among the most dangerous in Europe.

During the uproar a pistol was also found in the pavement: according to what was learned, it would be a policeman's, and was immediately recovered by a colleague, before it could become a dangerous weapon in the wrong hands. The driver of a municipal bus was also slightly injured in the throwing of stones and objects .

Damaged shops, bars and clubs.

The tension between the two fans was very strong, with over 600 German fans in the city circulating together in a huge group yesterday morning. It seems that there were also the Atalanta ultras to give them support .

The siege continued even after the match , which Napoli won 3-0. A group of Neapolitan ultras attempted to approach the hotel where a good number of Eintracht Frankfurt fans are staying, just as the operations of transferring the German supporters onto the buses to take them away from the city were about to begin. The area is more than central, we are talking about the Caracciolo seafront.

The Napoli ultras detonated paper bombs and threw stones in the area between via Partenope and via Chiatamone , where an attempted assault was fortunately rejected. The agents in riot gear used tear gas and water cannons and repulsed the charge of the ultras.

On the ground, in the area between via Chiatamone and the seafront, the police found three bottles of beer modified into Molotov cocktails.

After midnight, with a massive deployment of men and vehicles, the police were "ringing off" the access roads to the hotel entrances where the German fans are located.

The area was being flown over by a helicopter while explosions were heard in the distance.
