Mystery over 30 million from the Region: «Are they needed for the merger of airports? Immediate clarity"

Thirty million euros, intended generically for the "reorganization of strategic shareholdings in the transport sector and for the realization of the necessary investments" on which it is necessary to see clearly. This is why the regional opposition councilors, members of the Budget Commission, asked for and obtained - for tomorrow - with the hearing of the Transport Councilor, Barbara Manca.
«We demanded it because the Budget commission has the duty to see clearly about these 30 million contained in the settlement of which nothing is known», declares Fausto Piga, deputy group leader of Fratelli d'Italia and among the members of the third commission, the Todde's press releases on the feared merger project of the three Sardinian airports of Olbia, Alghero and Cagliari are the order of the day, yet nothing emerges from official documents regarding the real intentions of this majority. An attitude that shows little respect for the institutions", continues the Melonian, "who apparently do not seem to be concerned about the uncertain scenario due to the judgment pending at the civil court of Cagliari regarding the corporate structure of the airports of northern Sardinia, the ruling of the Court of Auditors regarding the hypothesized privatization of the Cagliari airport without a public tender and the airport strategic plan being discussed in Parliament".
Todde thinks that the role of the regional council is a mere paper-pusher", insists Piga, but "Sardinian airports are our entry-exit gates and as everyone knows they strongly influence the economic and social dynamics of the island, it is unthinkable that this operation is conducted in the dark and alone by the Governor, fueling suspicions and poisons."
Piga asks a question: «Does Todde plan to review the role of the Region in airport investments?», he asks, to answer: «He has the legitimate right to do so and there are no prejudices of any kind, but the role of the institutions must be respected: yes present in the chamber with a timely and detailed reform law, certainly not with a banal and hidden two-line paragraph in which 30 million euros are allocated without explaining how and what they will be used for".
