There is mourning in Nuoro for the death of Giuseppe Tanchis. He was the first soloist to sing and record "No potho reposare" with the Barbagia choir in 1966. He was 95 years old.

In a recent interview he revealed that, during the performances in which he sang the famous song, he thought about his girlfriend at the time.

He has never lacked the desire to sing, he told Videolina, "unfortunately it's the voice that no longer comes out of me". But Tanchis will remain an example for singers of many generations.
