Three years after leaving Olbia, Andrea Cocco returns to Sardinia to play for Monastir. The 1986-born striker is the latest big signing for the Biancoblù, in collaboration with the Next Sport Club of owner Efisio Pisano, and will be able to make his debut on Sunday (5 pm) on the Ferrini pitch in the first leg of the first round of the Coppa Italia. For Cocco, it is his first experience in Eccellenza, after a career that saw him debut with Cagliari in Serie A on 21 December 2005, on the Parma pitch, and score three goals for the Rossoblù (one in the league and two in the Coppa Italia). In his rich and prolific career, with the last three years always in double figures and two top scorer titles in Lega Pro Seconda Divisione (Alghero 2009-2010) and Serie B (2014-2015), the new Monastir striker has obtained numerous promotions: from B to A with Verona in 2013 and with Pescara in 2016, from D to C with Trapani last season.
