Following the success of the BioBlitz initiative , in which some classes from the middle schools of Posada and Torpè were involved on March 14 in research activities on alien plants in the Posada wetland, registrations have opened for the Citizen Science action dedicated to training, with a subsequent field trip, aimed above all at teachers, guides, environmental educators and therefore at all interested citizens.
The event, with free participation, is scheduled for the afternoon of Friday, March 21, from 3:30 pm to 7:00 pm, in the premises of the former Peschiera di San Giovanni di Posada. The project is part of the Mon I Dron program, conceived by the Tepilora Park and financed by the EU through Pnrr funds, with the organization of Legambiente in collaboration with the Ceas of Posada and Torpè and a team of expert botanists and agronomists.
The aim of the program is to monitor the presence of alien plants and weeds along the final part of the Rio Posada, up to the mouth. The observation on the ground is integrated with that in flight through the use of drones that will contribute to a more precise mapping of the biodiversity present in a given area of analysis.
