A little less than a month after the deadline given by the Court of Milan for the filing of the agreement with Tirrenia in extraordinary administration, a first meeting was set up at the Mise between Moby-Cin and the commissioners of Tirrenia.
The face-to-face is set for 5.30 pm tomorrow, March 2, in Rome.
"Our offer is equal to 144 million euros against a debt of 180 million currently quantified at 159 million euros pending an arbitration procedure being completed - reads a press release signed by Vincenzo Onorato - The payment will be 23 million. of euro immediately upon approval and the remaining 121 million euro in the following three years. The debt of 159 million towards Tirrenia in AS is an unsecured debt or unsecured. For the residual 121 million euro the debt, thanks to a agreement with banks and bondholders, it would be guaranteed by a first degree mortgage on four CIN vessels, thus passing from unsecured debt to guaranteed debt ".
"In the history of our country I do not think there has ever been an offer of arrangement that provides for more than 90% of the sum due, a percentage, considering that 200 million euros have already been paid, which would be lowered to a discount of 4%" , adds Onorato. "I hope that another interlocutory answer will not arrive from the commissioners of Tirrenia in AS and from Mise for the seriousness of those who represent the State and in the duties that these political officials have towards the 6,000 workers of the Onorato Armatori Group" .
