All cancelled, no multi-million dollar seizures. The former rossoblù president Massimo Cellino won the appeal in Cassation against the decision to lock up 58 million euros against him, a precautionary measure ordered by the same Supreme Court last July . Initiative that was part of an investigation into alleged tax crimes by the entrepreneur from Sanluri, now president of Brescia Calcio.

The judges annulled the block of assets without delay, so Cellino is once again the owner of the club and of its parent company, the Eleonora Immobiliare company, which had ended up under receivership. One million of those 59, relating to a company abroad, remains under examination : the Cassation has ordered both the Review to evaluate the situation again. For the reasons it will take at least a month but the decision allows the former Rossoblù patron to actively return to the leadership of Brescia .

«A first result that comes after two years of complex procedural affair» the comment of the lawyers who presented the appeal (the Roman firm composed of professors Astolfo and Alessio Di Amato of Rome, lawyers Fabio Cagnola of Milan, Giorgio Altieri and Ida Blasi of Tonucci & Partners of Rome and Luca Bonavitacola of Brescia).

Last July, the Brescia Review Court confirmed the decision taken by the Cassation in February 2022 on the seizure of the entire family assets for 59 million euros and of the entire corporate group of the president. Thus, real estate and operating companies, including Brescia Calcio, ended up under judicial administration. "We have been working almost exclusively with colleagues on this investigation for almost two years: today we are collecting the first very important result of a defense that has never ceased to be close to the president Cellino and his family", explains the lawyer Giorgio Altieri, trusted lawyer of Cellino who already in the mid-2000s obtained the annulment of the sanctions for over 400 billion lire regarding the matter of SEM exports and who, recently, obtained the acquittal of the patron of Brescia in the first instance trial on the Is Arenas stadium in Quartu.
