Francesco Acquaroli (center-right) reconfirmed as governor of the Marche.

The victory was announced while the count was still underway, given the unbridgeable gap with his center-left challenger Matteo Ricci, a Democratic Party MEP.

The first to break the silence was Ricci himself, trailing by almost 10 points: "I called Acquaroli to congratulate him. The Marche team has chosen consistency."

Then came the message from Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni: "Francesco Acquaroli wins the Marche regional elections, confirming himself as President. The voters have rewarded a person who has worked tirelessly for his region and its citizens over the years . I am certain he will continue in his commitment with the same passion and determination. Congratulations, Francesco, and keep up the good work," Meloni said.

The turnout is around 50%, in the last regional elections of 2020 it was almost 60 (59.75%) .

In the Aosta Valley, the center-right is failing to make a breakthrough: the Union Valdotaine coalition, with the autonomists and the Democratic Party, is over 50%.
