Cagliari's preseason ended with a double draw. In Santander, after a 0-0 draw in the morning , the second match against Racing drew 1-1: Luvumbo's superb backheel goal sealed the draw.
Pisacane started with Caprile; Pintus, Mina, Obert; Zortea, Adopo, Prati, Folorunsho, Idrissi; Luvumbo, Piccoli , lined up in a 3-5-2 formation.
