Lega Serie A awards Zappa: his is the best goal of November
The feat in Cagliari-Milan rewarded among all the goals scored in the month just ended

Gabriele Zappa's best goal of the month of November in Serie A goes to him. The rossoblù defender's feat against Milan, which earned him the 3-3 draw and his personal brace in the 89th minute with a splendid right-foot volley, was the most voted for by fans in the poll held on the official social media channels of the Lega Serie A: he won by beating Hakan Çalhanoğlu's long-range shot in Inter-Napoli on 10 November.
Zappa becomes the fourth player to win the Iliad Goal of the Month (the official name of the award) this season : the others were Cagliari's Nicolò Barella (in August for Inter-Atalanta), Torino defender Saul Coco (in September against Lazio) and Como midfielder Luca Mazzitelli (in October, again for the Biancocelesti).
The award was established in the 2021-2022 season. The only other Cagliari player who had won it before Zappa was Keita Baldé , in November 2021 for an overhead kick goal against Sassuolo.
