Sa Ruga is a great party, a marvel for children and their families. And not only that. The street art event is one of the excellences in entertainment and circus culture that Cagliari can boast. A brilliant idea and an impeccable application. Exaggerations? The numbers of participants and the growing enthusiasm from year to year say so. And from tomorrow (Friday 18) Sa Ruga returns to animate the Stampace, Sant'Efisio and cucurus cotus neighborhoods until Sunday.
"A Fellini circus that mixes with nomadic and bohemian atmospheres, an emblem of how the mixture of different cultures can give birth to something surprising", explain the organizers of the festival that this year celebrates its eleventh anniversary. "Every year we offer our vast audience the opportunity to enjoy 15 national and international companies for free, for a total of about 30 free shows, all of high technical level and selected on the basis of artistic quality and originality".
Let's see, then, who are the leading groups of this weekend: from Trocos Lucos (Korean teeter-totter and balancing acts) to the famous Circo Pacco (non-contemporary circus and clowning), from Francesca Mari (expert in juggling, antipodism and unicycle) to Brigata Totem (masters of the spectacular Chinese pole), from Surfoniani (between surf music and dirty rock'n'roll) to Peter Weyel (master of contortionism, distracted juggling and black humor), from Giorgio Bertolotti (who performs balancing acts on a unicycle) to Caterina Fort (a dancer of the earth and air), from Calippi (artists on stilts) to Karalis Sisters (experts in Fusion bellydance), from Nadia Addis's puppet theatre to Riccardo Atzeni and his drawn psychotherapy, from Celerini Clown (clowning) to Nicolò Antioco Ximenes (a truly amazing fortune teller). bizarre) and the Nuit Tzigane, with music from around the world.
