20 days before the start, “The actor's suitcase” never ceases to reserve surprises: on the occasion of the 19th edition of the film event, scheduled from 26 to 30 July on the island of La Maddalena , an exclusive document will be screened.

An unreleased film for Italy made during the filming of "Christ stopped in Eboli" (1979), the famous film directed by Francesco Rosi and starring Gian Maria Volonté, the great actor to whom the festival is named. The documentary, entitled “Rosi about Eboli”, was shot in Lucania in the backstage of the film by Swedish directors Björn Blixt and Peter Englesson, and also contains an unpublished interview with Volonté.

In addition to celebrating the actor, the screening also pays homage to Rosi, whose centenary from his birth this year , while in two moments, on July 26 at 9.15 pm at the Fortezza I Colmi and on July 28 at 11 at the ex Magazzini Ilva in Cala Gavetta, the work will be illustrated by Björn Blixt and the researcher Giulia Longo, cultural mediator between Italy and Denmark.

Together with them there will be Giovanna Gravina Volonté, director of "The actor's suitcase", and Domenico De Gaetano, director of the National Cinema Museum of Turin who in the autumn will propose a special screening of the documentary within the homage to Rosi for 100 years from birth.
