Femicide in the night between Monday and Tuesday in Terno d'Isola, in the province of Bergamo.
Shortly before one o'clock, in via Castegnate, a 33-year-old woman, Sharon Verzeni, originally from Bottanuco - another town in the Bergamo area - but who had lived in Terno for about three years, was rescued in the street with stab wounds to the chest and back. He had lost a lot of blood. Rushed to the Papa Giovanni XXIII hospital in Bergamo, she later died. The Zogno police are investigating the incident.
From what we learned, it was the 33-year-old herself, who worked as a beautician, who called 112. "Help, they stabbed me", was her cry for help. However, as mentioned, the relief efforts proved useless.
The police are now looking for the murderer and the murder weapon, probably abandoned in the area. The mayor of the town, Gianluca Sala, has therefore made an appeal to citizens not to throw waste until August 3rd to help the investigations.
