The investigations into a man residing in the province of Varese accused of having created a business of trading of "pirate" subscriptions for pay TV in the face of a monthly payment that earned him illicit proceeds of 500 thousand euros were closed.

From what was discovered by the Guardia di Finanza of Gallarate, the suspect offered, upon payment of a periodic fee, pay television services throughout the national territory through its own internet platforms.

Over 1,800 customers identified by the Fiamme Gialle who, to take advantage of the pirate IPTV subscription, made payments to the Varese reseller by bank transfers or top-ups with prepaid cards. All were reported for receiving stolen goods.

The fraud was carried out through the counterfeiting, for profit, of the copyrighted trademarks of the companies Mediaset Premium, Sky, Dazn, Disney Channel used to advertise the sale of illegal subscriptions on websites related to the suspect, and also in the dissemination of entire television schedules of conditional access channels as well as streaming transmission via a device connected to the Internet, such as smart TVs, tablets, PCs, smartphones, of the programs of the same companies.
