Five sessions with a therapist that did not help and overcome the internal discomfort that Filippo Turetta experienced . Since the end of September the young man in prison for the murder of Giulia Cecchettin had turned to a psychologist, apparently at the request of Giulia herself and her family . He himself had called the Cup of Local Health Authority 6 of Padua to book the interviews. The last one was scheduled for November 17, when Turetta, after having killed Giulia, was already a fugitive and had the police of half of Europe on his tail.

In conversations with the therapist Filippo spoke in particular about the problems in his relationship with Giulia and the difficulties in his university studies .

In the meantime, other confirmations have emerged regarding the "toxic" thoughts that guided Filippo in the final stages of his relationship with his ex-girlfriend. In the messages he sent before Giulia's disappearance , Turetta continually pressured her sister, Elena, to convince her to answer his phone. «Hi, sorry, can you get Giulia to turn on the phone and make her leave it on?» . And when Elena responded with a firm «no», she added: «Why?! It's not fair, he can't help but shit on me for all these hours. He promised me yesterday that he would write to me during the day... At least tell her that I wrote to her ." Elena again: «Filippo give her a moment to breathe» . And he: «Sorry, he promised me he'd send me some videos and photos of the day, sorry. Thank you".

Turetta is locked up in the infirmary section of the Montorio prison in Verona, monitored to prevent the risk of self-harm. The Venice Prosecutor's Office does not foresee new interrogations for now. The psychiatric report - if it is requested from the preliminary hearing judge, or during the trial - is a weapon that the defense will evaluate later. He could ask the judge for an expert opinion to establish the mental state of the accused at the time the crime was committed. This is to understand whether or not the crime was conditioned by a psychopathological condition, or an even partial inability to understand and will at the time of the crime. Which could pave the way for mitigating circumstances to avoid the maximum sentence of life imprisonment .
