Tragedy on the A2 where a 10-year-old girl died hit by a car.

It happened yesterday evening in the province of Reggio Calabria , at the Bagnara junction . The little girl was traveling on the highway, heading north, together with her mother and her partner . First the smoke from the bonnet, the broken down vehicle and the fear that the vehicle would catch fire then forced the driver to stop the car in the emergency lane, away from the lay-by.

The girl, getting out of the car, was hit by a Renault Clio . Driving, a 60-year-old man . The impact left her no way out: she died instantly . The interventions of the police and 118 doctors were useless. The firefighters were also on the spot, the vehicle had gone up in flames .

Work is underway to reconstruct the dynamics of the accident . In the meantime, the motorist driving the Renault has been entered in the register of road homicide suspects .
