He wore a mask depicting Gigi D'Alessio's face to carry out his thefts and fool the cameras. This trick, however, was discovered by the Carabinieri, who arrested Andrea Izzo, a 26-year-old boxer from Castellammare di Stabia, in the province of Naples.

This time, it was not the mask that betrayed him, but a balaclava that Izzo was wearing while he was in his car last night on Via Motta Casa dei Viri.

The officers spotted him and began a chase. The car was stolen, and the license plate had been altered. The chase ended on Via Cupa Varano. Izzo attempted to flee on foot, but when caught , he attacked the Carabinieri, using his professional boxing skills. The officers took the blows but managed to neutralize the young man.

In the bag he was carrying in the Jeep stolen shortly beforehand, he found burglary tools and three Gigi D'Alessio masks, likely used during the thefts to fool the cameras. On the back of the masks, there was also a dedication from the singer thanking the fan for attending one of his concerts.

Izzo will have to answer for money laundering, receiving stolen goods, resisting arrest, and assaulting a public official.
