They argue on the stairs of the apartment building, the man slapped died

The injuries sustained by a 67-year-old man who was beaten by a bully along the stairs of an apartment building in Sottomarina di Chioggia (Venice) proved to be fatal. The two had argued then Paolo Marangon, hit by a few slaps, fell to the ground hitting his head . After emergency hospitalization, and ascertaining the impossibility of his recovery, the doctors decided to disconnect the machines that kept him alive. Brain death was declared late yesterday evening.

The altercation had begun when the young man, in his version, had been bumped on the arm as Marangon was leaving the building with a friend . The passage was blocked by the 26-year-old who was talking to a peer. At that point the discussion arose and then the slaps came.

The 67-year-old's friend gave him first aid, giving him cardiac massage. But it quickly became apparent that his condition was very serious.

Shortly afterwards, an ambulance rushed the injured man to the Angelo di Mestre hospital, while the Carabinieri took charge of the attacker.
