Farewell to Angela Tiraboschi , the grandmother of Italy .

On 19 April she had accomplished the incredible milestone of 112 years becoming the oldest woman in the country and the longest-lived Bergamo ever in the history of the city.

Last night Angela died in her home in Bergamo, while she was sleeping. A native of Oltre il Colle (Bergamo), a lifelong housewife and Atalanta fan , like every year she would have liked to spend the summer in her country of origin. “Light meals and a glass of wine, no smoke and no stress. And, above all, to consider every day of life as a gift ”, were the secrets of his longevity.

She leaves four children, Roberto, Maria, Luciana and Piero, all aged between 70 and 85. For his 112th birthday he had also received greetings from the president of the Lombardy Region Attilio Fontana.

According to the site " Supercentenari d'Italia ", the oldest person in Italy is still a woman: Domenica Ercolani , from the Marche region, 111 years and 309 days old. In 14th place is Amelia Addari , born in Genoni on 25 March 1912 and resident in Nuragus .
