A man found dead on the street. The lifeless companion at home. The murder-suicide hypothesis is strengthened for what happened yesterday in Naples.

Salvatore Maddaluno, 76, would have thrown himself from the window of the apartment where he lived with Giuseppina Faiella, 97. The woman was found on the bed with some head injuries inflicted with an object not yet identified.

The couple had no children.

The coroner, the prosecutor Monica Campese and the investigative unit of the Carabinieri of Naples intervened on the spot.

The bodies were seized for autopsies.
