The ibex freed from the can of tuna did not make it: found dead in the woods

The ibex rescued because found with a can of tuna in his mouth is dead .

After being helped last Sunday by a provincial guard from Belluno and a veterinarian at Lake Sorapis, the ungulate didn't make it, he was found dead during a checkup.

The animal was undernourished because it was unable to eat for a long time due to the jaw being blocked.

With the intervention that had allowed him to free him from the box stuck in his throat, the veterinarian had hypothesized a possible recovery of the animal. But unfortunately, this was not the case.

It was a ten or eleven year old male ibex who, before finding himself with tongue and jaw blocked due to the neglect of some hikers, was in good health so much so that it was hoped for his recovery.
