"In defiance of the rules of our country, someone does as they please, believing they can get away with it."

This is the harsh comment by Bruno Murzi, mayor of Forte dei Marmi (Lucca) , enraged by what has happened in recent days on the beach of the famous holiday resort in Versilia.

An evening was organized in a well-known bathing establishment which should have included a simple dinner. But, denounces the mayor, the event – which according to Corriere della Sera was also attended by many well-known faces (such as football players Leonardo Bonucci and Riccardo Saponara, conductor Rudy Zerbi and actors Marco Bocci and Laura Chiatti – did not take place according to the agreements.

«The bathing establishment - explains the Municipality - had requested for the dinner and for the installation of a platform, a sound diffusion system on the sides of the same, lighting of the area concerned and coconut carpets, all to the extent foreseen by union ordinance. In recent days he had requested the State Property office for authorization for a vehicle to enter the beach to transport the equipment.

But despite the agreements, something else went on stage.

"Fearlessly - continues the mayor - and with absolute arrogance, unacceptable videos and photos of the evening have circulated on social networks and continue to be visible, showing tables set almost on the seashore, a stage instead of a platform, thrones, DJs and performances by acrobats with loud music and even the display of a vehicle on the beach of a well-known luxury car brand».

"Naturally - continues the mayor - the Municipal Police intervened, making the necessary findings and we are evaluating all the irregularities of the evening".
