The health conditions of the mayor of Venice, Luigi Brugnaro, are judged to be stable. He was rushed to the hospital in Padua after being taken ill while he was at the table with some friends in Borgoricco, in the Padua area.
It happened yesterday evening and people close to the mayor confirmed that Brugnaro spent a quiet night, but that the doctors believe they still want to keep him under observation.
Brugnaro, announces the General Management of the Hospital-University of Padua, was transferred shortly before 4 this morning in the intensive care unit, for prudential reasons. A series of investigations and examinations are underway to ascertain the nature of the illness.
The leader of Coraggio Italia, 60, had arrived at the emergency room of the Padua hospital at 11.02 pm, in red code. "Upon arrival, the patient was conscious - underline the doctors - even if tried by an acute event".
