A strong wave of bad weather is hitting Northern Italy, there are also two deaths in Tuscany, people hit by collapsed trees due to storms.

Heavy rains, thunderstorms, hailstorms and winds of up to 140 kilometers per hour are also reported in Liguria and Emilia Romagna, and thunderstorms are breaking down in Lombardy, Veneto and Friuli as well.

The two victims were in Sorbano del Giudice , near Lucca, and in the La Malfa park in Carrara . In the first case, 118 reports, the victim is a man, in the other a woman for whom there have been attempts to revive her, useless.

Four other people were injured at Camping Italia in Marina di Massa, again due to falling trees . Three were taken in yellow code to the Apuane hospital while the firefighters freed a fourth person from a caravan, who is hospitalized in red code. In total there are about forty injured in the entire region, the most affected.

There are also dozens of evacuees from Massa and Carrara, they will be placed in schools and gyms made available by the municipalities.

"Our Civil Protection machine is intervening in many areas of Tuscany following the strong wave of bad weather with gusts of wind up to 140km / h. The consequences of the bad weather of these hours are serious with injuries and deaths. For this I have activated the procedure for declaring a regional state of emergency as soon as possible and hopefully the national one ", says Eugenio Giani , president of the Tuscany Region.

In Venice the storm of wind and rain also caused the collapse of fragments of bricks from the tower of the bell tower of San Marco . The tourists who were visiting the monument were let out, the area cordoned off, there are no injuries.
