Stabbed in the street by a stranger while walking her dog

Attacked and stabbed in the street while walking her dog.
It happened in Sottomarina di Chioggia to a woman—a German tourist in her 30s —who is now hospitalized in serious condition. Her life is not, however, thought to be in danger.
The attack occurred around 11 p.m. Following the alarm, the Carabinieri responded to the scene and took a statement from the woman—who was vacationing in Chioggia with her partner and young son—and arrested the alleged perpetrator within hours. The suspect is a 25-year-old with psychiatric issues.
The woman said she noticed a person with a helmet on his head staring at her and who suddenly, for no reason, reached her and attacked her, stabbing her several times with a knife in the upper body and hands .
The attacker then fled on a motorbike, while the victim was rescued first by some passers-by and then by 118.
