Panic and general escape last night in Naples in the Umberto Gallery.
The reason? A boy who, to celebrate his 14th birthday, started shooting in the street, intimidating passers-by.
Local police officers intervened on the spot and, upon seeing them, the young man ran away, throwing the weapon to the ground. It was later ascertained that it was a blank pistol without a red cap that had fired five shots.
The 14-year-old was stopped while trying to escape in the Quartieri Spagnoli. The shots, the officers later ascertained, were the highlight of the birthday party.
The municipality was carrying out checks in the nightlife areas, it had just stopped three children aged 10, 11 and 12 on board a scooter: while they were completing the operations to hand them back to their parents, the officers heard the shots coming from the Galleria Umberto.
