Thus said the Minister of Culture Gennaro Sangiuliano, as reported by La Stampa, on the case of his “ghost consultant” Maria Rosaria Boccia .
During the trips between June, July and August, Sangiuliano says, "I paid for everything with my personal credit card. I publish everything, receipts and bank statements for all the places we went together, from Taormina to Polignano, from Sanremo to Milan."
Only in Riva Ligure "the mayor insisted on paying for everything himself and we were his guests". In some cases, the minister explains, the companies organizing the various literary festivals to which the minister was invited paid for the hotel. Again: the reservations "were not made by the ministry secretariat, but by me directly from the PC or iPad".
But to thicken the "mystery" comes the social response of the Campania entrepreneur and influencer, who proclaimed herself with a post in recent days as the minister's "consultant", only to later be denied.
Boccia has in fact published on Instagram emails from the ministry and flight reservations, as well as a communication where he speaks of "needs related to his appointment as advisor to the minister for major events".
Yesterday, overwhelmed by controversy, with the opposition asking for clarifications and saying it is ready to present a motion of no confidence, Sangiuliano met with Prime Minister Meloni at Palazzo Chigi to explain his version. At the end of the meeting, it was learned that he did not intend to take any steps back, presenting his resignation.
