Alice Toniolli, 19 year old athlete of the Top Gils Fassa Bortolo, several times in the national team and European champion last year at the European road championships in the junior relay, is hospitalized in serious conditions in the hospital of Treviso , after violently hitting her head against a wall during the women's race of the 'Circuito dell'Assunta' held in Ceneda di Vittorio Veneto, in the province of Treviso.

"For reasons currently being investigated, shortly after half the race while she was in the middle of the group she lost control of her bike, lost her balance and crashed into a wall . Alice was initially transported by helicopter to the hospital in Conegliano but, following the worsening of her conditions, she was transferred to the one in Treviso", the Federation underlines.
The athlete is in the intensive care unit of the Ca' Foncello hospital in Treviso . According to what was learned from the hospital's health management, the cyclist suffered multiple head injuries, some fractures to the rib cage and a leg, and a slight cervical contusion . Her life is not in danger and it will take days for her to recover. The prognosis is reserved.
