He tried to kill a shopkeeper he considered a rival, but the gun jammed and only for this coincidence did the tragedy not take place.

It happened in the center of Naples , at the height of a dispute between traders, which broke out at lunchtime.

According to a reconstruction of the facts, the owner of a bar, who accused a pizza maker of stealing his customers, fired two shots in the air with an illegally held 7.65 caliber, then attempted to shoot at his colleague but, as mentioned, the weapon he misfired.

The gesture obviously sparked panic in the area. The police then intervened on the spot and the attacker was arrested in flagrante delicto and locked up in the Neapolitan prison of Poggioreale.

The investigators contested the crime of attempted murder aggravated by abject and futile reasons.
