Abused in the hotel by her coach .

The complaint is from a 15-year-old swimmer from Friuli , engaged in national level swimming competitions. According to her account, during a trip to Rome with the rest of the team , her 26-year-old coach invited her to his room. Here he would molest her, attempting to undress and groped her until she escaped. Upon returning home, the young woman vented to her parents, who filed a complaint with the police.

Having also collected the testimonies of the other members of the team, the evidentiary incident took place yesterday, in which the girl confirmed the accusations.

The coach is being investigated by the Rome Public Prosecutor's Office for aggravated sexual violence . His version is opposite to that of the alleged victim: he invited her into the room, this is true, but to scold her for some behavior held by the girl in the hotel.

For now, the man has remained in his place: a graduate in motor science, head coach, with a master's in nutrition and sports management, he is highly esteemed by the Federnuoto of Friuli Venezia Giulia, where he is remembered for the excellent results achieved also as an athlete.

The Unione Nuoto Friuli , a company for which he is registered and which manages facilities in numerous locations, awaits the closure of the investigation: "We are at the complete disposal of the judicial authority to provide all the necessary support, remaining guaranteed towards the parties involved in this story ", said the president, Maurizio Vidus . Specifying to proceed "with the utmost caution, respecting all the people involved. The accusations are very delicate and directly involve the name of our company, whose reputation is the result of over 40 years of passion for swimming, seriousness , ethics and maximum professionalism ". There is an investigation underway, "at present covered by confidentiality - concludes the note from Vidus - we await developments or official communications from the competent judicial or sporting authorities before adopting any internal measures".
