A punitive expedition turns into a huge brawl , with dozens of people involved, shots fired and four injured, one of whom is in serious condition.
It happened in Villanova di Prata, in the province of Pordenone.
Two different factions of the Sikh community are facing each other, in conflict over the management of the local temple.
Of the four people injured last night, the one in the most serious condition is a 29-year-old young man. He is hospitalized in Udine, where he was taken by helicopter. Among the other three people, who remained in the Pordenone hospital, there would also be the president of the association who would be entrusted with the management of the temple.
According to the investigations conducted by the carabinieri, who operated all night, the brawl was not accidental but arose, as mentioned, from a sort of punitive expedition. After some arguments with related tensions within the Sikh community, which occurred in recent months, and after a sit-in with hunger strike, on the night between 5 and 6 September last in Pasiano (Pordenone) two cars owned of people involved in the management of the Sikh temple.
