"The Pope spent a peaceful night and woke up shortly after 8am ." This was communicated this morning in a note from the Vatican press office .
Yesterday the Holy Father's conditions remained stable compared to the previous days and "without episodes of respiratory failure" : this was stated in the evening medical bulletin on the health status of the Pope, hospitalized at the Gemelli hospital in Rome since February 14 for bronchitis which degenerated into bilateral pneumonia.
"The Holy Father continued with beneficial respiratory and motor physiotherapy," the bulletin continued. "The hemodynamic parameters and blood tests remained stable. He did not present fever."
"The doctors are still maintaining a reserved prognosis," it was added, specifying that "in consideration of the stability of the clinical picture, the next medical bulletin will be released on Saturday."
Yesterday the Holy Father dedicated himself to some work activities during the morning and afternoon, alternating rest and prayer. In the evening the audio message, in Spanish, from Gemelli with the suffering voice: « I accompany you from here ».
