The man believed to be responsible for an attack against a policewoman in the area of the port of Naples was tracked down and arrested. A 25-year- old Bengali ended up in his cell on charges of attempted murder and aggravated sexual violence.

From what has been reconstructed so far, the young agent was reaching the port at the Pisacane gate, to retrieve the car and return home after her shift.

She noticed someone behind her but didn't have time to react because she was hit in the head with a stone and then raped her .

As soon as she recovered, the policewoman warned her colleagues and the Volanti went in search of the Bengali also through the detailed identikit provided by the victim and identified him shortly after. It emerged that JM has a police history and is illegal on Italian territory .

The policewoman, taken to the hospital, was discharged yesterday morning.
