Alberto Stasi has been granted semi-liberty. The Surveillance Court of Milan has decided.
The 41-year-old, definitively sentenced in 2015 to 16 years for the murder of Chiara Poggi in 2007 in Garlasco, will be able to stay out of prison part of the day, not only to work but also for social reintegration activities, and will have to return in the evening to the Milanese prison of Bollate.
The request of the Milan Attorney General's Office to reject the request for semi-liberty based on a recent television interview given by the 41-year-old during a day release was therefore not accepted.
"We feel, once again, so much bitterness. We only hope to never meet him", is the telegraphic comment of Rita Preda, mother of Chiara Poggi , who learned the news of the granting of semi-liberty on the news.
