In Piazza del Campo everything was ready for the Palio di Siena . But a few minutes before the start the rain stopped the race : Career postponed, the appointment is postponed until tomorrow. The timetable remains unchanged: at 7.30pm the jockeys will start again from the same order of entry to the ropes revealed tonight: Pantera, Valdimontone, Nicchio, Giraffa, Civetta, Leocorno, Bruco, Oca, Onda, Lupa.
The green flag displayed outside the Palazzo Pubblico in Piazza del Campo announced the decision. The anticipation is therefore growing for the challenge between Sardinians at the Palio di Provenzano, with 5 island jockeys competing. Making his debut is Gabriele Puligheddu from Nuoro, 21 years old who will run for the Giraffa and Mattia Chiavassa for the Bruco .
And again: the Nurrese Giovanni Atzeni known as "Tittia" who runs with the Goose, Carlo Sanna (the "Brigant") of Sindia with the Onda), Andrea Coghe "Tempesta" with the Lupa and Sebastiano Murtas "Grandine" with the Leocorno. All ten horses competing are Anglo-Arabs born and bred in Sardinia.
