She had been hit on Monday evening while crossing the road on a bicycle, hit by a van in the center of Reschigliano, a town in the Paduan area.
Emanuela Brahja, an 11-year-old girl, was immediately transferred in desperate conditions to the hospital in Padua where she remained for two days without responding to treatment: the injuries were too serious, and her death was declared in the night.
It will now be up to the agents of the Piove di Sacco traffic police to reconstruct the exact dynamics of the accident: driving the van was a 36-year-old man living in the Venetian area. He was the first to call for help. Last night there was a prayer vigil for the little girl in the parish.
The entire community of Reschigliano clung to the pain of the family.
