He was hit by a gunshot to the forehead, according to the account provided by his friends, while he was with them in the car: a nineteen-year-old died shortly after at the CTO hospital in Naples.

The fatal shooting occurred around 1:30 a.m. in the Arenaccia area, specifically on Via Generale Francesco Pinto. The friends reported to the Flying Squad officers that they heard a loud bang while they were in the car and then saw their friend collapse, with a visible wound to his forehead.

They immediately took him to the hospital where he was admitted with a guarded prognosis and where he later died: the bullet, according to what the doctors ascertained, entered and exited through the boy's forehead.

According to the State Police investigation, which is trying to shed full light on the murder, the boy was a drug dealer.
