Moments of fear today on the Naples ring road when a car exploded just before the hospital area exit towards Pozzuoli. On board a man and a woman, both were seriously burned and are in danger of life. They would be the driver and a researcher from the Cnr, now hospitalized at Cardarelli.

Firefighters extinguished the blaze at the scene.

The car, as far as we learn, was carrying electro-medical equipment, including one or more oxygen cylinders, and the explosion of one of these cylinders would have caused the fire.
