Jashann Deep Badhan, the 19-year-old of Indian origin accused of the murder of Sara Centelleghe , the girl killed with scissors on Friday night in her home in Costa Volpino, in the province of Bergamo, was questioned this morning in hospital in Bergamo.

On his way out, the young man's lawyer, Fausto Micheli, commented: "We can't understand what he did. From a fight he went to the extreme of killing the girl. The young man doesn't understand what he did and why: at the beginning there was a fight, maybe he got scared, the situation got out of hand. He is sorry, saddened, very upset. He didn't know Sara except by sight. He said he had always done good to others and now he has done this thing that he can't explain."

The investigations immediately focused on understanding the link between the confessed murderer and the friend who was at home with Sara that night , with whom the boy exchanged text messages and phone calls that evening.

"He was supposed to meet Sara's (17-year-old girl, ed.) friend for a drug exchange," the young man's lawyer said.

Corriere della Sera has reconstructed the phone calls and text messages between the two. At 11:25 p.m. they call each other, at half past midnight they write to each other and arrange to meet. Sara's friend reported that she refused Deep's invitation to spend the evening with him in Lovere. But he texts her: "Are you downstairs?" She says yes and goes down in the elevator, leaving the apartment door open. He, who lives in the same residential complex, goes up to the third floor, using the stairs. The two do not cross paths: Deep does not find the girl and enters Sara's house, who hears the footsteps and asks "who are you?". At that moment the fury begins, punches and about thirty scissors to kill the 18-year-old.

There are still too many points to clarify to understand the motive and understand if Deep's target could have been Sara's friend. A wound to the hand incriminated the 18-year-old. When he was questioned as a witness, he had it in his pocket, then he spoke of an accident at work. Finally he collapsed and was first investigated and then arrested.
