Unfortunately, a 56-year-old mother and 19-year-old son who had vanished into thin air yesterday while spending a day at the Punto Lido di Riva beach in Trentino were found lifeless in the waters of Garda .

They are Hanna Shabratska and Oleksiy, of Ukrainian origins but residing in Rovereto , Trentino. The woman's partner raised the alarm last night, worried because he hadn't seen them return after a day at the lake.

First the boy's body was found, then that of the mother, located by divers at a depth of 15-18 metres.

The two went to the lake to spend a relaxing day but never returned. After her husband's alarm, searches began yesterday in the area between Punta Lido and Spiaggia dei Sabbioni. The carabinieri of the Riva del Garda company, the Coast Guard, the Riva del Garda firefighters with the divers of the permanent fire brigade and the state police took care of it.

Mother and son were spotted by cameras around 11.20am, then no news. What made us fear the worst was the discovery of the two's bags and towels on the beach and the fact that at that point the lake is often crossed by strong currents .
