A tram that was returning to the depot yesterday around 10 pm came off the tracks on the bend between Via Galvani and Via Filzi, next to Milan Central Station.

The accident, which occurred a week after the derailment of tram 9 that killed two people and injured around fifty, was caused by a bolt in the tracks, confirmed ATM, Milan's transport company.

In this case, no one was injured. Technicians responded to the scene and tram 12, a Jumbo (and therefore different from the Tramlink that derailed on Viale Vittorio Veneto), was towed away.
