Nicolò is awake almost a month after the massacre and is able to communicate with gestures . THE MASSACRE - At the first light of dawn on May 4, 57-year-old Alessandro Maja massacred his wife and daughter who were still asleep with a hammer and knife . The first rested on the sofa in the living room, the second in her room . Then he was relentless on Nicolò, who in the meantime woke up and started screaming. A neighbor overheard him and called 112. Maja was convinced she had killed them all.

A few hours earlier, the 57-year-old (now hospitalized in Psychiatry ) told the lawyer Enrico Milani who reported his words, "he had dinner with his family as always, and washed the dishes". Then the boys went "to their rooms, his wife went to sleep on the sofa and he continued walking around the house without stopping to think about the burden of debts he lived as unbearable ". Then the attacks that "he can't explain. He can't say why he acted like this."
